What is Access?

Microsoft Access 2007 , a component of the Microsoft Office suite, is a database
management program: an application that stores and organizes data and makes data
retrieval efficient. A database is an organized collection of data, or information. An
example of a simple database is a phone book that contains the names, phone numbers,
and addresses of individuals and businesses.

This version of Access uses a newer interface known as the ribbon, so it might be
unfamiliar to users of older versions. However, Access 2007 is designed to give
you easy access to every command and feature of Access, and the new features make
it easier to create more powerful and better organized databases.

MOS certification

The above courses are also designed to help students pass the Microsoft Office Specialist

complete all of the above courses.

  • When you want a database that is easy for colleagues to explore your information without training.
  • When you need to run the same report daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • When you want to know who your most valuable customers are so you can target your marketing.
  • When you need to have better reporting tools that would be harder to pull off in Excel.
